Consumer Information and Student Right-to-Know
Authorized to operate in Texas by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). ACT University is not accredited and does not offer licensure pathways at this time. The institution intends to pursue DEAC accreditation.
Student complaint process
- Start with ACT University: submit a written complaint through the Contact form, selecting “Complaint/Concern.” You’ll receive confirmation within two business days and a written decision within 15 business days.
- Escalation in Texas: if unresolved, students may file with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. State contact details are listed on the About page and the Catalog.
- Recordkeeping: ACT maintains complaint files and resolutions for a minimum of five years.
Tuition, fees, and refunds
- Current tuition and fee schedules are posted on the Admissions website.
- The Catalog details refund calculations, withdrawal dates, and any nonrefundable charges.
- Payment options include monthly plans, employer or third-party sponsorships, and direct pay. Federal Title IV aid is not available.
Transfer credit and prior learning
- Case-by-case evaluation of official transcripts from recognized institutions.
- Minimum grade thresholds, maximum transfer limits, and residency requirements are published in the Catalog.
- Prior learning assessment options, when offered, follow documented rubrics and verification.
Privacy and records
- Student records are protected; only authorized personnel access them for legitimate educational purposes.
- Course and service systems (including Populi and the E-Library) log limited usage data for security and support.
- Data retention periods and release conditions are described in the Catalog and Privacy & Terms.
Accessibility and non-discrimination
- ACT provides a confidential accommodations process coordinated through Student Services.
- Courses are built to WCAG 2.2 AA practices.
- The university prohibits discrimination based on protected characteristics and provides equal access to programs and services.
Distance education and technology
- Programs are fully online and delivered through Populi.
- Minimum tech requirements and proctoring expectations are listed on Online Learning.
